Cub Crafters Carbon Cub FX3 Power On Stall Test (27 MPH IAS)
Doing a power on stall in the Cub Crafters Carbon Cub FX3. Conditions are 3500 ft, Outside air temperature 42 degrees F, aircraft weight 1650 lbs, CG 73" (pretty far forward, it goes from 70.9 to 79). I lose controllability at about 27 MPH indicated airspeed. I think this would drop by at least 2-3 mph with an aft CG, maybe more. It doesn't really seem to stall with power off, but pitch authority is insufficient to maintain level flight without power due to lack of prop blast on the tail below about 45 MPH with power at idle.
