Hoyoverse officially released the drip marketing for one of the new 5 star characters, Acheron. This means that Acheron will get her limited banner in the first phase of version 2.1. We are currently in version 1.6, and version 2.0 will start on february 7th, so we can expect version 2.1 to arrive around march 20th. Acheron is a 5 star character, from the path of the nihility and dealing lightning damage. The official description says this about her: “Lone voyagers in the cosmos are driven by two desires: to tread in the trails of the past, and to forge their own way. But under Their scrutiny... most end up adhering to the former.” A drifter claiming to be a Galaxy Ranger. Her true name is unknown, and she walks the cosmos alone, carrying with her a long sword. Though aloof and taciturn, her blade flicks out like lashing lightning. And yet, she always strikes with her scabbard, never drawing the sword free." From speculations, Acheron's gameplay is centered around flowers and her powerful ultimate. Her attacks, both basic and skill, add flowers to enemies. When enemies die, their flowers transfer to the one with the most. Once Acheron hits maximum flowers, she can unleash her ultimate, which weakens the enemy defense. Putting her in a team with more nihility characters boosts her damage. So despite having the same element and the same path, she will have a different role than Kafka, and won't replace her, as a lot of people fear. We'll actually meet Acheron before version 2.1, in Penancony, which is the next destination with the astral express. Her english voice actress is Allegra Clark, who has a ton of anime and video game roles. She also voiced Beidou from Genshin Impact.
