Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser Trailer (RE-SCORED BY CYGNUS)
As an avid and long-time fan of the cyberpunk genre, having read almost all major cyberpunk books from Altered Carbon, to Neuromancer, to Snow Crash and Vurt, and being a performing, independent musician who works in a personal studio full of analog synthesizers, and having grown up with an association of the cyberpunk ethos with electronically charged sounds featuring the rich, sonic contour of landmark synthesizers such as the Juno 106, Jupiter 8, TR-808, TB-303, and such an association being an unfailing one, as it serves as a representation of the cyberpunk ethos; that of totally synthetic and man-made societies, megastructures, radical forms of technology which seem to be irreconcilible with a rational existence and ethical conduct, especially on the part of megacorporations and super-states, this ethos being perfectly encapsulated in the science fiction soundtracks which usually score films speaking this ethos which draw the difference between man-made and a more hollistic, grounded connective principle, an irreducible case beset by nature through the howling and screaming chords of synthesizers, I could not resist re-scoring the recently recently Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser Trailer which featured rock music. Please enjoy. I would like to contribute further to the CDProjekt Red team, and hope to have some more of my music in this game. If this text was incomprehensible, I apologize, but you made it through and I hope I have made my reasons for doing this clear. There will be more.
